Ability to earn CPE Credits approved for CFP and PFS Continuing Education requirements
Ability to obtain the Certified College Financial Consultant (CCFC) designation after completing the education, examination, and service requirements
CCFC CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The applicant must possess either the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.
Applicants must fulfill the education requirements for certification, which will include a comprehensive online course with 9 distinct learning disciplines.
Applicants must receive a passing grade of 80% or better on the final examination that will be available online once the education requirement has been met.
Certificants must assist at least 10 Families (Paid or Pro Bono) with filling out Financial Aid Forms (FAFSA/CSS Profile) within one year of meeting the other certification requirements and each year thereafter in order to maintain their certification.
Certificants must complete 10 Hours of Approved Continuing Education each year in order to maintain their CCFC certification.
